Highly qualified, highly experienced!

We have experience going back to the 1970s, when the Internet was first being conceived.  Military, government, pharmaceutical and educational organisations were sharing information and communicating very crudely between computers.

Bulletin boards came in the early 80s, whereby you could dial into a PC and be given some simple information in an identical format to TV Teletex.  

In the late 80s we were communicating using simple Unix email systems and, finally, in the 90s, the Internet was born.

Our director, Phil Hitchman, has worked on all of those systems over the decades and spent some years working for Cap Gemini and also in the EC's joint research centre in Ispra, Italy, working on Internet technologies and applications. He also worked extensively on JANET - the Joint Academic Network, in the late 80s and early 90s, connecting Universities together.

When the Internet went commercial in the early-to-mid-90s (incidentally, before even Microsoft discovered it!) we were already building websites.

Hitchman IT Solutions was formed in late 2001 to deliver Websites, Content Management Systems and Web Applications as an attempt to bring together the design world and the technical world.  Our applications are designed to be simple, effective and easy to use. Virtually any design, no matter how complex, can be built onto our web systems.

In short, what the designer dreams up, we deliver!
