Hitchman Web Development services have been operating since 2001. Our individual development experience goes back to the 70's and we have collectively been developing websites since the early to mid 90s.

We strongly believe that web design and web development are separate and very different skills.  Some clever people posess both these skill sets (some of those work for us) however most people excel in one or the other.

We have positioned oursselves as a leading website development agencyin Essex, delivering websites mainly for external design agencies.  Our customers tend to be freelance designers, design-for-print agencies and marketing/PR companies, all of whom have their own design teams, but with very little technical experience when it comes to building websites.

Many of our design customers are able to build a simple website (through Frontpage or Dreamweaver) that looks stunning, but no real funtionality.  The rest have no interest in building websites whatsoever, but are happy to deliver them as part of a branding package in order to make a little extra money and provide their customers with a complete service.
